Midaco and Haas VF3YT-SS

After our initial successful test of a Midaco pallet changer on a Haas VF2SS in 2015, we made the decision to install four VF3's with Midaco pallet changers. No regrets. There isn't much arguing with a spindle utilization increase of 50% with no increase in labor cost. Prior to these pallet changers our typical spindle utilization was approximately 60%. Afterward, it's typically in excess of 90%. Pretty simple straight forward way to dramatically increase output. If this is something you're considering, the larger pallets compatible with extended-Y machines make it easy to install larger, 2-station vises which improves throughput even more.
